Charlie is a dishwasher who works in one of Sydney’s most up-market restaurants, but she has exceptional talent for plating dishes. When she posts pictures of her work on social media, her vindictive colleague, the Plater, puts her in her place as a ‘dish-pig’, a term she uses to berate Charlie constantly, while asking her to clean up her knives. Charlie, as a dutiful employee, prioritises the dishes asked for by the Chef, which frustrates the Plater further. Karma strikes as the Plater carelessly cuts her hand open with her own knife, resulting in the Chef marching her out. With orders still to go out, Charlie has to step up to plating dishes, which she does brilliantly, impressing and surprising everyone. Produced by Bus Stop Films & post-produced by Ironbark Films.
